Motorola Droid Razr Maxx with Enhanced Battery Life

The Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx with enhanced battery life is what you need to no matter who you are and what your needs are. You may be a corporate slave or a traveler, the Droid Razr Maxx is the phone that you would want for a compatriot. This handset is the successor of the Motorola Droid RAZR and comes with many new features that will tempt you to upgrade to it. Lets take a closer look at the Motorola Razr Maxx and find out, if it is worth the upgrade or you can simply skip this one.

Features of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx

The handset has the candybar form factor and it is quite large and you need to have big palms to grip it or you are going to have a hard time carrying it around. What’s intriguing is that the handset has a weighty appearance, but it is not really heavy when you lift it. That is something that is sure to earn it brownie points with customers. The other features of the handset have been reviewed below.

Display of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx

This smartphone packs a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display that is just too incredible for words. The pictures are sharp and clear and the display has a screen resolution of 540 by 960 pixels. This does not sound much when you compare it with the many handsets that have an HD display, but you need to check it out to realize that the display of this handset is no less, either.

Hardware and software of the handset

The handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core TI OMAP 4430 processor, that is fast and smooth at the same time. The processor is supported by the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system and I do wish that the Honeycomb had been made use of, for the handset as that would have brought out the best in the system. But this one works decently too. There is the Motoblur user interface integration present and that is something that makes the usage of the handset a pleasure. It is quite different from the many user interfaces that come with the smartphones these days.

Camera of the handset

Coming to the camera of the handset, this is one feature that you are sure going to be in love with. The Droid Razr has a 5MP camera, but this one is clearly one step ahead as it has an 8MP rear facing camera that is complemented by a Flash, which gives you the freedom to take pictures in low light conditions. There are many support functions that are present along with the shooter.

The camera is capable to shoot videos in 1080p that is full HD at the rate of 30 fps which is really impressive.

There is a 1.3MP front facing camera that is for the purpose of video conferencing and the clarity of the camera is also quite good.

Storage capacity

The handset has been incorporated with 1GB RAM and there is an internal storage capacity of 16GB that is more than enough to store all your data, in my view. But in case you need more, there is a memory card slot that has been integrated as well, that supports a microSD card up to 32GB.

Connectivity

Coming to the connectivity options of the handset there are not many and that was clearly a downer for me. There is the WiFi connectivity present along with the micro USB connection present, which is the case with almost all the handsets that are present in the same range. Apart from this, there is the HDMI port that is present and that is a great thing, but the one that stole my heart was the Bluetooth 4.0 integration which means that the handset has the ability to be paired with all the latest accessories that are based on this technology and have been recently released in the market.

Battery

This is what this upgrade is all about. The creators of this handset have equipped the battery with a battery that is almost infallible. It has a 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery that has a lot of juice and the company claims that the battery supports up to 21 hours of talktime with one single charge and that is just unbelievably awesome.

There are many new features in this handset and in case you are looking for a good smartphone then you can go in for it, but in case you already have the Motorola Droid Razr, then this is an upgrade that you can avoid. Wait for a little more time and a better handset with all the new technology integration is sure to be released.
